First backup — Web panel
If you cannot install the desktop app, you can also back up from the web panel. For files larger than 5 GB, desktop is recommended (web upload limit is 5 GB per file).
1. Sign in
- Go to https://app.pratikyedek.com
- Email + password + SMS OTP
2. Create a new backup
Left menu Backups → New:
- Enter a folder name (example: "Accounting-2026-Q2")
- Choose files or drag-and-drop to upload
- Enter the encryption passphrase (stays on your device; never sent to the server)
3. Upload
- The browser encrypts files client-side (Web Crypto API; AES-256-GCM)
- Encrypted chunks are uploaded to PratikYedek storage
- Upload speed: ~50 MB/min (on a 5 Mbps upload connection)
4. Verification
When the backup completes, Backups → Detail:
- Snapshot ID (e.g.
snap_01HF...) - SHA-256 chain hash (integrity verification)
- Total size + file count
